Gallimore Products Inc. Multi-Year Accessibility Plan 2025-2030

 

In Compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA)

Effective Date: March 17, 2025

 

Statement of Commitment

Gallimore Products Inc. is committed to treating all people with dignity and independence. We believe in integration and equal opportunities. 

 

Gallimore Products Inc. is committed to supporting the goals of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (‘AODA’). Gallimore Products will establish policies, practices and procedures which are consistent with the accessibility standards established under the AODA, to identify, remove and prevent barriers to people with disabilities.

 

Gallimore Products Inc. will ensure that both the regulations and principles of the AODA are adhered to for the following standards:

 

  • Customer Service, 

  • Information and Communications, 

  • Employment,

  • Built Environment,

  • Transportation (as applicable)

 

To facilitate this commitment, Gallimore Products has established and implemented a multi-year accessibility plan outlining our strategy to prevent and remove barriers and meet our requirements under the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation.

To ensure we provide equal opportunity and remove and prevent barriers to people with disabilities we, at Gallimore Products Inc., will:

 

  • Provide training to all employees who develop policies, hire/manage staff and/or provide goods and services to customers to ensure they are aware of and fully understand the Human Rights Code and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act

  • Provide accommodations as needed at every stage of the recruitment process, including but not limited to Job postings, Interviews, selection, and employment offers. Our goal is to create a fair and welcoming hiring experience for everyone.

  • Ensure that all individuals have access to clear and effective communication. Upon request, we will provide information and communication materials in accessible formats that meet individual needs. This includes both digital and non-digital formats to ensure accessibility for everyone. 

  • Create individual emergency response plans that include accommodation for any employee that requires it. These plans are available upon request.

  • Develop individual Workplace Accommodation Plans tailored to individual employee needs where required. These plans will be created in collaboration with the employee and will outline necessary adjustments to ensure they can perform their job effectively.

  • Develop and implement a multi-year accessibility plan that outlines our strategies for identifying, preventing, and removing barriers. This plan will be reviewed and updated regularly to ensure continuous progress in creating an inclusive environment for employees, customers, and stakeholders.

Gallimore Products Inc. is committed to fostering an inclusive and accessible environment for all employees, customers, and stakeholders. We recognize the importance of accessibility and have several measures in place to support this commitment.

 

SECTION 1: PAST ACHIEVEMENTS TO REMOVE AND PREVENT BARRIERS

This section includes a summary of the accessibility initiatives Gallimore Products Inc. has implemented on or before March 17, 2025. 

 

Customer Service

Gallimore Products Inc. has established policies, procedures and practices for providing goods and services to persons with disabilities and has shared these with all employees and posted these on our company website.

Gallimore Products Inc. has provided Human Rights Code and Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act training for all employees that interact, or may interact, with persons with disabilities on behalf of the company.

 

Information and Communications
 

Providing Information in Accessible Formats

 

Gallimore Products Inc. has processes in place to make its information accessible to people with disabilities by creating materials and supports in accessible formats upon request.

This extends to any emergency procedures or safety information prepared by Gallimore Products Inc.

 

Providing Feedback

 

Gallimore Products Inc. accepts feedback about the way in which we provide goods and services to persons with disabilities in person, by phone or email, or in another way that is suitable to the person with a disability.

 

When a complaint is received about the way we provide goods, services, or facilities to persons with disabilities, Gallimore Products Inc. will let the person who submitted the feedback know about the plans we will take to resolve the issue.

 

Accessible Emergency Information for Employees

 

Gallimore Products Inc. has implemented a process to create Individual Emergency Response Plans for individuals with disabilities. 

 

Employment

Recruitment

 

Gallimore Products Inc. welcomes and encourages employment applications from people with disabilities and we have put processes in place to make hiring and employee support practices more accessible by communicating about and providing accommodation during all stages of recruitment, hiring, and employment.

 

Communication of Accessibility Policies

 

Gallimore Products Inc. launched an Employee Handbook which provides details regarding all accessibility policies and the process in which an employee can request accommodation if needed. All new employees will receive this handbook during their first week of orientation.

 

Gallimore Products Inc. has also implemented on-line training on Accessibility for all employees. All new employees will receive this training during their first week of orientation.

 

These documents and trainings are available in accessible formats where required.

 

Individualized Plans for Employees

Gallimore Products Inc. is committed to the development and implementation of individualized plans to accommodate a disability where required. To remove barriers to persons with disabilities Gallimore Products Inc:

  • allows the employee requesting accommodation to participate in the development of the plan

  • communicates the means by which the employee is assessed on an individual basis

  • provides the individualized accommodation plan in writing to the employee 

  • provides an individualized Return to Work Plan, in writing, for any employee who has been absent from work due to a disability and requires accommodations to return to work

  • takes steps to protect the privacy of the employee's personal information

  • outlines the frequency in which individual accommodation plans will be reviewed and updated and how it will be done

  • provides the employee with the reasons for the denial if the individual accommodation plan is denied

The details of how to initiate the creation of an individualized plan and the process that will be implemented for each type of individualized plan have been communicated to all employees. 

 

Transportation

 

Gallimore Products Inc. does not provide conventional or specialized commercial transportation services to passengers. 

 

Public Spaces

 

If Gallimore Products Inc. redesigns or redevelops an outdoor public space such as a parking area, outdoor eating area, exterior path of travel, building entrance, or an indoor service counter or waiting area, it will do so in accordance with the Design of Public Spaces Standard of the AODA. Gallimore Products Inc. will also ensure that any newly redesigned or redeveloped areas are maintained in accordance with the rules set out by the AODA.

 

Section 2: Multi-year Accessibility Plan

Gallimore Products Inc. is currently compliant with the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). However, we recognize that accessibility is an ongoing process, and we are dedicated to continuing to identify, address, and remove barriers to create an inclusive environment for all employees, customers, and stakeholders. As part of our commitment, we have developed a five-year accessibility plan that outlines our strategies for compliance and enhancement. This plan will be regularly reviewed and updated to ensure we are making meaningful progress toward greater accessibility and inclusiveness.

 

Customer Service

 

Gallimore Products Inc. will implement regular accessibility audits to identify emerging barriers, and act on feedback received.

 

Gallimore Products Inc. will identify additional accessibility supports for customer service and train employees on these resources. 

Information and Communications

 

Gallimore Products Inc. values feedback as an essential part of our commitment to accessibility. We will review all feedback received regarding accessibility and, where reasonably possible, incorporate it into our accessibility plan. This ongoing process allows us to identify areas for improvement and take meaningful action. 
 

Employment

 

Gallimore Products Inc. will offer disability awareness training modules for all employees to promote a culture of inclusion. 

Gallimore Products Inc. will implement a regular assessment cycle to ensure that all accessibility policies and recruitment policies are functioning as expected and will adjust as necessary.

Transportation

 

Gallimore Products Inc. does not provide conventional or specialized commercial transportation services to passengers. 

 

Public Spaces

 

Gallimore Products Inc. will conduct a comprehensive assessment of all public spaces. This assessment will help us identify existing barriers that may prevent individuals with disabilities from accessing our facilities comfortably. We will review this assessment ongoingly as plans for future redesigns or redevelopment are considered to ensure that we implement necessary improvements to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all.
